PUBLIC SITES:
Eolian Process
Learn eolian processes pertaining to the activity of the winds. Eolian erosion, eolian transportation, and eolian deposition are the main topics in this presentation. Site maintained by U.S. Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey.

Research
The Bureau of Economic Geology at The University of Texas researches site characteristics of the Chihuahan Desert of Texas in northwest Eagle Flat Basin. The basin-fill sediments consist predominantly of fine-grained eolian and fluvial material.

Studies in Kansas
Fluvial geomorphology studies in Kansas are performed on river and stream channels. The study provides information needed to better understand and manage river and stream systems in Kansas. Site maintained by U. S. Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey.

Streams and Rivers Lab
The Loma Linda University's Research Website presents a lab activity in Fluvial Geomorphology. The site provides a detail diagram of the fluvial system and an idealized representation to help you conceptualize its structure.

Landforms
Cornell University students Lesley L. Greene and Bryan L. Isacks's research paper explains eolian landforms of the Central Andes. They explain how the use of Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) satellite imagery, eolian landforms of the Altiplano-Puna plateau were mapped and analyzed.

Glossary
Hands on the Land features a living glossary of terms.

Lecture Notes
These introductory lecture notes on eolian processes and landforms are maintained by PhysicalGeography.net, an educational web portal that focuses on a specific area knowledge known as Physical Geography.

Electronic NASA Text
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center hosts this online publication, 'Geomorphology From Space: A Global Overview of Regional Landforms,' to enhance the study of landforms and landscapes in the scientific and educational communities. It consists of a space imagery gallery of over 200 plates illustrating specific landform themes and includes commentary, locator and geological maps, and photos.
