Prerequisite: None.
Recommendation: Eligible for level 1 English placement.
Total lecture 54 hours. An investigation of basic factors and conditions
of society that have ongoing negative consequences for a significant
portion of society. Issues addressed include social inequality, social
policy, urban conflicts, environmental hazards, deviance, and problems
of social action and control. Not open to students with credit in
Sociology 2. (A/CSU/UC) CAN SOC 4
