I am Randy Martinez. I consider it a privilege to instruct those interested in the field of Psychology. It is also a pleasure to initiate an interest in the field to those unfamiliar with its concepts, methods, applications and theories.
Courses that I have taught at this college over the last ten years include General Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, The Brain & Behavior/Physiological Psychology and Developmental Psychology. I have taught the Psychology of Sport at other institutions and consult in the area of sport psychology.
In addition to teaching, I continue to pursue research and application in sport psychology and performance enhancement. Additionally, I am conducting research examining the psychological components involved in technological education, and I am involved in designing and implementing assessments of student learning.
I am proud to be affiliated with the Psychology Faculty here at Cypress. They are scholarly professionals with expertise in applied areas and research. The professors in our department are excellent not only in knowledge and talent but they are truly dedicated to the enhancement of the educational experience of our students. As one of these faculty members I am committed to enhancing the education of our students and to the presentation of psychology from its many perspectives. You are invited to take any of my courses and explore the study of the mind, behavior and consciousness in dynamic and expressive formats.
In addition to my commitment to this profession, I value spending time with my family, mountain biking, lifting weights, reading theology, exploring computer games, and watching movies.
