Spotlight on Electronics
Student Design Suite:

Prentice Hall is proud to announce a new partnership with a leader in electronic circuit simulation software, Electronics Workbench. Prentice Hall is your only source for the Student Design Suite, which includes the student editions of MultiSim 2001 and UltiBoard 2001.

Multisim 2001 can be used :

  • to build and study analog, digital and mixed-mode circuits across all courses in electronics technology and electrical engineering programs
  • to analyze the electrical characteristics of circuits and to visualize their behavior with virtual instruments and analyses
  • to transform textbook lab manual circuits into live interactive experiments
  • to study advanced topics in engineering like VHDL for advanced digital and RF for communications to visualize working circuits, learn circuit troubleshooting, and to increase student access to a powerful lab environment.

Ultiboard 2001 can be used :

  • to design and visualize printed circuit boards from Multisim circuit files
  • to create your own custom layouts for circuit components and copper connections
  • to visualize circuit design in 3 dimensions using the 3D viewer
  • to create real circuit boards for student design projects to offer a virtual lab for board fabrication courses

Student Design Suite is available to your bookstore at $67.50. This software can also be packaged with any Prentice Hall electronics textbook at a discount. For more information, please contact your local Prentice Hall representative.

Spotlight on Course Compass

CourseCompass is a dynamic, interactive eLearning program powered by Blackboard. Flexible, easy-to-use course management tools allow you to combine Pearson Higher Education content with your own. Hundreds of Pearson Education's textbooks have Course Compass support. Putting your online resources in one place has never been easier -- and it just got better. An updated CourseCompass design now includes a new Course Home page and other features to help you create a better online learning experience for your students. We invite you to begin.
Educators, get ready for students!

To prepare for students to enroll in your course, visit http://www.coursecompass.com, and click the Adopt button next to the name of your CourseCompass course on the My CourseCompass page. By clicking Adopt, you signal CourseCompass to get ready to allow students into your course on the course start date. You can still continue to customize your course -- by posting an announcement, uploading a syllabus, or adding other documents. You are always in control of when students can see your course, because you can change the start and end dates of your course at any time.
