Needed to view full-screen video and streamed media, or hear audio
files in any of 30 audio, video and image formats, including Flash.
Java ™ Plug-in : Needed to view the Virtual Classroom and Lightweight Chat sessions in CourseCompass.
Macromedia ® Flash ™ : Needed to improve viewing of high-fidelity web sites.
Macromedia Shockwave ® : Needed to run animations in some courses.

Installing VitalSource Bookshelf + Content

This is the installation guide for the VitalSource Bookshelf software. Please note: Installation requires an active Internet connection and administrator access to your computer.
- Go to http://www.vitalsource.com/software/bookshelf and download the Mac or PC version of Bookshelf for your computer.
PC: Once the setup.exe has been downloaded and is running, when prompted, click the “Continue” button throughout the installation wizard until your last click is “Finish”. After installation is complete, launch Bookshelf.
(Bookshelf requires .Net 2.0. If you do not already have this application, the installer will begin installing this for you. Afterwards, your machine should continue with the Bookshelf installation.)
Mac: Double click on the VitalSource_Bookshelf_5.0.zip, this will place VitalSource Bookshelf in the folder that you downloaded the zip file too. Drag the Application “Bookshelf“ to your Applications folder.
- Launch Bookshelf and accept the terms and conditions. You will be taken to the first time launch screen, click the “Register Button” to continue.
- Complete the registration form in full. Enter the redemption code into the Redemption Code field. At the bottom, click the “Register” button.
- Bookshelf will automatically download your book(s).
