Professional Development & Training

Another big component of Pearson LearningStudio^SM services revolves around providing faculty training and instructional support services. To help our Education Partners at all times, we have a team of instructional professionals who provide faculty training and consulting services online and face-to-face, including just-in-time support, and instructional design plans and implementations. In addition to these professional services, we supply many professional development resources and activities, listed below, to help our Education Partners keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Academic Training & Consulting
To help our Education Partners transition from on-campus to blended to fully online instruction (or to help with advancing their online pedagogical knowledge), the Pearson eCollege Academic Services department offers Academic Training & Consulting services. Our in-house team is comprised of trainers and consultants who are also faculty.

eTeaching Institute
The Institute provides rich, online training for a variety of online instructional design topics.

iSupport
By participating in iSupport, our Education Partners can contact a member of the Academic Services team with course development or course design questions.

Online Blogucation
Prose, research, and thought provoking arguments from industry expert academic trainers, consultants, and instructors.

eFaculty Exchange
A database, maintained by Pearson eCollege, of self-selected, qualified online instructors. Its goal is to provide competent faculty with increased opportunities to develop and/or teach online courses. At the same time, it provides all of our Education Partners with a means of identifying well-trained instructors and well-designed courses for their online programs.
